Casca is a Historical Fantasy Book Series by Barry Sadler, first published in 1979. It follows the adventures of Casca Rufio Longinus, the Roman Soldier who pierced Jesus Christ’s Side with the Holy Lance at Golgotha. For this act, Casca is Cursed with Immortality, doomed to roam the Earth as a Soldier until the Second Coming. The Character takes inspiration from the Christian Legend of Longinus.
As the death toll climbs on the Plains of Parthia, Casca hits his breaking point and does the unthinkable, he walks away from the fight. The Romans don’t take desertion lightly and while Casca Can’t Die, pain is still very real for him.
His only option is to flee to the Northlands beyond Germany, where the Fjords run Red with Blood!!!
