Roadblock, whose real name is Marvin F. Hinton, was born in Biloxi, Mississippi. In G.I. Joe, his main role is as a Heavy Machine Gunner, with Cooking as his Secondary Specialty.

Before joining the U.S. Army, Roadblock dreamed of becoming a Gourmet Chef and worked as a Bouncer to save enough money to attend The Escoffier School in France. An Army Recruiter convinced him he could learn to cook in the military, but after enlisting, he found Army Food terrible and transferred to the Infantry, where he excelled with Heavy Weapons.

Known as one of the Strongest Members of G.I. Joe, he can carry a fully loaded M2 Browning Machine Gun, that weighs 135 Pounds as a Personal Weapon, a task usually requiring a Whole Squad. Even while serving in The Infantry, he keeps his love for cooking alive, indulging in it as a Secondary Duty. He’s a Qualified Expert with the M2 Browning .50 Caliber Heavy Machine Gun, all Warsaw Pact Heavy Machine Guns, The M-16 and the M-1911A1 Auto Pistol!!!
