This Cool MOPAR is part of The Muscle Mania Collection.
The 1971 Dodge Challenger is a Legendary Muscle Car from The First Generation of the Chrysler E-Body Platform. It is most famous for its aggressive Split Grill, a One Year Only Design Feature and its wide variety of Powerful Engine Options.
The Engines that were offered ranged from The 225 Slant 6 to The
426 HEMI V8, the Pinnacle of Muscle Car Engines, rated at 425 Horsepower. It remains one of the most Collectible and Valuable Engine Options in Automotive History.
The 1971 Model is easily identified by its unique Dual Inlet Split Grill, which was painted silver on standard models and black on R/Ts.
It was available as a Two Door Hardtop, with Fixed Rear Windows, or a Rare Convertible. Fewer than 10% of 1971 Production Total were Convertible.
The Pistol Grip Shifter, Models equipped with a 4 Speed Manual Transmission often featured the iconic Hurst Pistol Grip Shifter for a Raw Mechanical Feel.
High Impact Colours were offered. There was Plum Crazy, Citron Yella, and Hemi Orange!!!
