Salt N Pepa are a Hip Hop Group formed in New York City in 1985. They are Cheryl James, Sandra Denton and DJ Spinderella. Their debut album, Hot, Cool & Vicious sold more than 1 Million Copies in North America, making them The First Female Hip Hop Act to receive both a Gold and Platinum Certification. The single, Push It, which was released in 1987 as the B Side to their single, Tram, and peaked within The Top 20 of The Billboard Hot 100.
